Welcome Aboard

Welcome to YachtMilestone.com, documenting the scintillating liveaboard adventures jelly & James have aboard their Colvic Victor 34 Milestone.

jellys dad shows his daring side as he gambles his camera to the sea gods. It pays off!

jelly and James hang over Milestone's gunwhales whilst underway....... yes, we wish we had the genoa out as well.

Hello! My name’s jellyellie, and I’m an 19-year-old entrepreneur. My sexy-sailor boyfriend James, 22, and I bought Milestone in early December 2008 with our life savings. Milestone - or Miley, as she’s affectionately known to us - is a 37ft ketch (that means she has two masts) with a raised saloon, so she’s really bright and spacious; perfect for living aboard. We’ve lived on Miley for just over a year now, and she has made a brilliant first home for me and James. We currently live in a marina in Portsmouth Harbour where James works as Senior Dockmaster (sexy, eh!).

We’ve already lavished a lot of love and hard work (and money!) on Miley - you can see what we’ve done on the “Owner Improvements” page.

We have dreams to cruise - maybe a round-UK, perhaps the Mediterranean, or possibly Caribbean. For now, we’re enjoying our alternative lifestyle in the UK. James has completed an IMM marina management course sponsored by his marina, and I have been speaking round the world offering teen insight to a range of audiences, selling lots of copies of my book How Teenagers Think along the way.

James has been sailing since he was a small child, and I’ve worked my way up during the past couple of years from a sail training background to RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Coastal (previously Coastal Skipper) & RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean theory.

YachtMilestone.com is our record of the work we do to Milestone, the adventures and journeys we have aboard her, and the people we meet along the way.

After all, your life’s for living and that’s exactly what we’re doing.

P.S. You can catch us on Facebook - we are ‘James Anderton’ and ‘Jelly Gee’ (not my real name).
